THE WORD OF THE DAY FOR 2012

1 John 1:3 and Colossians 1:9-12 (NASB)
…indeed our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ.
9 - For this reason … we have not ceased to pray for you and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,
10 - so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;
11 - strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for the attaining of all steadfastness and patience; joyously
12 - giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in Light.

…nuestra comunión es con el Padre y con su Hijo Jesucristo
9 - Por eso, desde el día en que lo supimos no hemos dejado de orar por ustedes. Pedimos que Dios les haga conocer plenamente su voluntad con toda sabiduría y comprensión espiritual,
10 - para que vivan de manera digna del Señor, agradándole en todo. Esto implica dar fruto en toda buena obra, crecer en el conocimiento de Dios
11 - y ser fortalecidos en todo sentido con su glorioso poder. Así perseverarán con paciencia en toda situación,
12 - dando gracias con alegría al Padre. Él los ha facultado para participar de la herencia de los santos en el reino de la luz.

…possam participar connosco da comunhão que temos com o Pai e com Jesus Cristo, seu Filho.
9 - E por isso mesmo … desde o dia em que ouvimos falar a vosso respeito pela primeira vez, não temos cessado de orar por vocês, e de pedir que tenham um conhecimento cada vez mais completo da vontade de Deus, através de uma clara compreensão e sabedoria das coisas espirituais,
10 - a fim de que a vossa conduta seja digna do Senhor, agradando-lhe em tudo, dando frutos em toda a espécie de actos bons, e crescendo no conhecimento de Deus.
11 - E que sejam fortalecidos pelo seu poder glorioso, para poderem suportar com paciência e com alegria as dificuldades.
12 - E que saibam agradecer a Deus que nos fez dignos de participar da herança que ele reserva aos crentes que vivem na sua luz.

   And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the
      word of their testimony...(Revelation 12:11)

Before the days of man began, when the angel Lucifer, having the seal of perfection, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty said in his heart, “I will ascend to heaven, I will raise my throne above the stars of God and I will make myself like the Most High God,” war was declared in the heavens. God pronounced judgment against Lucifer (Satan) for eternity.

Since then Satan has not ceased to attack the character of God, the holiness of God and the faithfulness of His word. The war shall end only when the Son of God, the Word made flesh, returns to Earth to execute the Lord’s pronounced judgment. Whether or not it is understood or accepted, all of mankind is born into this war.

Mankind finds itself at the center of this heavenly confrontation. The confrontation is nothing other than the truthfulness of God’s spoken word. God says His word is true and faithful. It is not His character to lie. Every word He speaks must be accomplished, including Satan’s judgment. Satan is forever intent on proving God a liar and unfaithful and untrue.

The first one born into this war was Adam and Eve. God’s faithful, true and unchanging word was, “if you eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall surely die.” Satan attacked that word and convinced Eve God was a liar. She ate of the forbidden fruit. God did not lie. His word was true and she died. She died not in her flesh, but in her soul. Her fellowship with God ended and she now needed a savior.

Like Eve, every human being finds himself in the center of this war as the instrument that determines who wins the war. Recognizing our place in the war is determined by our victories over the cares of the world; the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh and the boastful pride of life. Our time on Earth is not for our pleasures to be fulfilled; not for dreams to be realized.

Our time here on Earth is to participate in the war we were born into, and hopefully, as it concerns us, testify to the faithfulness of God’s word and the holiness of His character. Our recognition of the state of war opens the heart to the riches of God’s kingdom, available to those who engage in the warfare. When we regard the word of God true and unchangeable; when we cast out all doubt and declare the promises of God until we realize their manifestation; we declare God victorious in the war of the heavens.

       Today we heard the FATHER say... "COME TO MY THRONE OF MAJESTY!"
                              "Yes FATHER, we will come".
                               Let that be your prayer as well!
